PakSchooling — bilingual school management SaaS

The problem

Schools in Pakistan run attendance, fees, and results on paper registers and spreadsheets. Staff work in Urdu and English interchangeably, parents expect updates on WhatsApp rather than email, and each school needs its own data kept separate from every other school's.

What I built

A multi-tenant SaaS where each school gets isolated data and its own staff roles. The interface is bilingual English and Urdu with proper right-to-left handling, so Urdu is a first-class language rather than a translated afterthought. Attendance, fees, and results flow into reports, and parent communication goes out over WhatsApp.

Key features

  • Multi-tenant: each school's data isolated from every other school's
  • Bilingual English and Urdu interface with right-to-left layout support
  • Role-based access for administrators, teachers, and staff
  • Attendance recording and reporting
  • Fee management and tracking
  • Results and academic reporting
  • WhatsApp communication with parents
Architecture and technical decisions3 notes
  • Right-to-left support is layout-level, not a stylesheet flip — mirrored components, correct text alignment, and mixed Urdu/English content in the same view.
  • Tenancy is enforced in the data layer so a query cannot reach another school's records.
  • Role-based access controls what each staff member can see and change.
